Jozef Wiszniewski was the founder of Slepsk and up to now he is the owner of the company. The initial business was focused on local construction industry. However, favourable economic conditions, wise investment moves and top quality services led to extensive development of the company. Increasing employment within the company and fulfilling more and more challenging orders earned the company a brand and recognition in the podlaskie province.
Successive stage in company’s development was extending the scope of activity to production of yachts. It was an extremely accurate move initiated by the owner Jozef Wiszniewski and the managment headed by Mr Krzysztof Chmielewski. Huge demand for fiberglass production in Europe and enhanced cooperation with Brunswick Marine (former Marine Power Europe) brought about building more modern workshops at Slepsk premises. The volume of production was constantly increasing. This dynamic development of the company caused envy among competitors. Soon the location of plant I at Rajgrodzka Street in Augustow has been combined with another location at Slowackiego Street – plant II. Steady development of the company joined by more and more professionals as well as wide experience brought Slepsk to current level.
At the moment Slepsk shipyard consists of a few modern workshops designed for production of motor boats and sailing boats, warehouse providing large stocks of materials, concrete shop, and several dozens of trucks and vehicles to transport boats and building materials. Besides, Slepsk owns land which leases to other companies. It offers its employees recreational site. There are around 500 employees including well qualified management, boat lamination and assembly specialists, experienced team of builders able to fulfill challenging projects starting from large area workshops and warehouses to hotels or various private houses. Both these divisions: construction and boat manufacturing are supported by auxiliary departments owned by Slepsk such us wood shop, black and stainless steel shop, aluminium and plexi shop and a garage.
All these resources resulted in granting the company the international quality certificate ISO 9001:2000 that confirms our products conform to the highest standards of quality in the world from the early stages of design through product manufacturing.
